Couples can benefit from this therapy when they have the need of growth in their intimacy. The goal of this therapy is to help couples understand and manage negative cycles in communication or intimacy that lead to anger and/or emotional distance. Couples may be struggling with affairs, destructive arguments, juggling work, parenting, and marriage, lack of intimacy and emotional distance, or other challenges and transitions. I may also address the effects of childhood trauma or insecure attachment patterns. Therapy can help you gain understanding, learn new skills, rebuild love and get your core needs met.
Privacy and security
In all circumstances, as a client, you have certain rights under the law. You have the right to confidentiality. What is said in therapy stays in therapy? You also have the right to be treated with respect and dignity and for your personal boundaries to be safeguarded within the therapy relationship. I believe we all want to feel worthy of belonging. We want to experience ourselves as valuable and secure. This is especially important in the privacy of one-to-one individual counseling, couples counseling, and family counseling.
