Family Therapy

Families can benefit from therapy when they experience any stressful event that may strain family relationships, such as financial hardship, transition, adjustment to the new situations,  divorce, or the death of a loved one.  Family therapy also serves as a venue to address mental health concerns that impact the family as a whole, such as depression, substance abuse chronic illness, eating habits, interpersonal conflict, parenting issues, or behavioral problems in children. I work with the family to promote understanding and collaboration among family members in order to solve the problems of one or more individuals.

Privacy and security

In all circumstances, as a client, you have certain rights under the law. You have the right to confidentiality. What is said in therapy stays in therapy? You also have the right to be treated with respect and dignity and for your personal boundaries to be safeguarded within the therapy relationship. I believe we all want to feel worthy of belonging. We want to experience ourselves as valuable and secure. This is especially important in the privacy of one-to-one individual counseling, couples counseling, and family counseling.
